MQFramework: A CarbonAds Publisher

Posted on: December 24th, 2011 by Chris Johnson No Comments

Over the past few weeks I have been busy tidying up the new site for my latest product release, MQFramework.  It is a CSS grid framework that allows for responsive and adaptive websites to be designed and developed.  It has received good traction with the likes of SmashingMagazineSpeckyBoy and CodeVisually to name but a few writing about it.

Thanks to them and all the people who have been tweeting about it, I have managed to attract on average 30,000 visitors a month.  From this I realised the potential to have advertising on it.  Thankfully CarbonAds had contacted me during the first month inviting me to their advertising network which I accepted.

So to all those who tweeted, wrote or shared MQFramework, I thank you.  Also If you would like to advertise on MQFramework then get in contact with the team over at CarbonAds and tell them I sent you.

A New Look For 2012

Posted on: December 24th, 2011 by Chris Johnson No Comments

In the past year I have not had much of a voice in the blogging world, mainly due to lack of focus to sit and write, So for 2012, I am going to be more proactive in writing. My train of thought will cover things from my personal life to interaction design and all things geeky.

Over the next few days I will be updating this new theme, based on MQFramework (a responsive grid system I released in late 2011)  it will be a new start and a new place to learn a bit about what I am up to and experimenting with.

As many of you know I am a mobile and web application designer and developer using technologies such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, Node, Ruby on Rails and PHP. Here I will explore the possibilities and boundaries that lie in these technologies when it comes to interaction design and development.  I will share code and examples of things I find out there in the wild.

So roll on 2012!

Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year.
